NIBCO Expands Valve Actuation Lineup with UniTorq Acquisition

NIBCO acquires UniTorq, adding one of the industry's broadest pneumatic and electric actuator lines to its valve portfolio.

NIBCO, Inc. has completed its acquisition of UniTorq Actuators and Controls, growing its footprint in the commercial and industrial markets and adding depth to its valve actuation lineup.

For plant and facility teams, the deal means access to a broader range of actuation solutions from a single, established supplier. UniTorq, based in Lawrenceville, Georgia, has spent more than 25 years developing valve actuation products for commercial and industrial applications and is recognized as one of the largest pneumatic actuator brands in the world. Its portfolio includes pneumatic and electric actuators, accessories, and controls—giving buyers a more complete solution under NIBCO's umbrella.

UniTorq will operate within NIBCO while keeping its existing team, products, and reputation intact. NIBCO plans to invest in upgrading UniTorq's IT platform to support operations, quality, and customer service going forward. Customers shouldn't expect disruption to product availability or support during the transition.

"We are excited to welcome UniTorq to our team. This acquisition enhances our ability to serve customers, accelerates our strategic objectives, and positions us for long-term success in the markets we serve," said Ashley Martin, NIBCO president and CEO.

The move builds on NIBCO's position as a manufacturer of valves, fittings, and flow-control products, adding actuation and controls expertise for customers across data center, industrial, and institutional construction markets.
