Edmund Optics Adds Lumimax Ring Lights to U.S. In-Stock Lineup
Edmund Optics has added Lumimax Configurable Ring Lights to its U.S. in-stock inventory, giving American manufacturers and machine vision integrators faster, easier access to a modular lighting platform that previously required sourcing through European channels or custom lead times.

- LED Lifetime: 80,000 h
- Type of Illumination: LED Illuminator
- Illumination Mode: Constant
- Outer Diameter: 150 mm
- Dimensions: 78 mm ID x 135 mm OD
- Connector: M16 12-pin plug (male)
- Input Voltage: 19 to 30V DC
- Operating Temperature: 41° to 113°F (5° to 45°C non-condensing)
- Environmental Rating: IP64
The ring lights are built around a single base unit that adapts to multiple inspection tasks through interchangeable kits, rather than locking users into one fixed configuration. A lens array kit swaps between 12°, 31°, and 49° optics to adjust field of view and working distance. A dome extension kit converts the ring light into a diffuse, homogeneous source for reflective or curved surfaces. A window kit adds a diffuser and polarizer to cut glare. Light color options include white, blue (470 nm), green (528 nm), red (625 nm), and NIR (850 nm).
For plants running automated optical inspection, electronics inspection, or surface defect detection, these ring lights can be reconfigured as inspection requirements change, without repurchasing new hardware.
