IDS Imaging Development Systems is raising the bar in industrial camera reliability with the launch of a voluntary 3-year manufacturer's warranty across all of its camera series. According to IDS, this makes them the only industrial camera provider to offer such an extended warranty, giving businesses added assurance for long-term project planning and investment protection.

The warranty covers IDS' full lineup, including uEye, uEye+, uEye Live, uEye EVS, uEye 3D, and IDS NXT cameras, either purchased directly or via authorized distributors. Designed for business customers, it extends beyond the standard statutory warranty and provides a clear, risk-free solution in case of material or manufacturing defects. Within 36 months of purchase, IDS will repair the camera, replace it with a new or equivalent model, or refund the purchase price if neither option is feasible. Customers can also extend coverage up to 5 years for an additional fee.

"Offering a voluntary 3-year warranty gives our customers greater planning security and long-term value—a promise that currently stands alone in the market," said IDS Managing Director Alexander Lewinsky.

The warranty reflects IDS' "Made in Germany" commitment, with in-house production, certified processes, and ongoing investment in specialized machinery and skilled personnel, ensuring high-quality cameras suitable for industrial applications.
