SupplyOne Acquires Specialty Packaging, Expanding New England Reach and Food Packaging Portfolio
SupplyOne, Inc. has acquired Specialty Packaging, LLC, a packaging solutions distributor based in East Hartford, Connecticut—the company's 47th acquisition since its founding in 1998.
Founded in 2012 by Chris Orsini and Keith Streib, Specialty Packaging brings a full-service packaging portfolio to SupplyOne that includes food packaging films, trays, bags, and corrugated containers. The acquisition also adds Specialty Packaging's proprietary SteamRight microwavable packaging solution, designed to let frozen food products steam directly within the package. Both founders will continue to lead the business post-closing.
For SupplyOne, the deal deepens its footprint in New England while advancing two stated strategic priorities: packaging distribution and food packaging capabilities. The Newtown Square, Pennsylvania-based company operates across more than 60 locations in the U.S. and Canada, offering corrugated, foam, wood, and plastics converting alongside distribution.
Specialty Packaging's broader service offering—which includes protective packaging, equipment sales, packaging design, and warehousing and logistics—rounds out the capabilities SupplyOne gains through the transaction.
