Q-PAC's Premium Control Panels Now Support BACnet/IP for Easier BAS Connectivity
Q-PAC has added BACnet/IP as a standard feature on all Premium Control Panels, giving engineers and building owners a new way to integrate its commercial HVAC fan systems into building automation systems (BAS) over standard Ethernet networks.
The update is built for consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and facility teams who need flexible integration options without added complexity. Panels now support BACnet/IP alongside the existing BACnet MS/TP protocol, so users can standardize on one control platform across projects that mix modern Ethernet-based networks with legacy RS-485 serial setups. Systems default to IP-based connectivity but can run BACnet MS/TP where serial networks remain, making the update equally useful for new construction and retrofit work.
With BACnet/IP in place, facility teams can pull operational data such as airflow, power monitoring, fan status, individual motor status, and system alarms directly over their network, improving performance visibility without relying on RS-485 wiring. Local control options, including the 0-10V potentiometer, hand/off/auto switch, and touchscreen HMI, remain unchanged.
The Premium Control Panel is UL 508A-rated and rated for indoor and outdoor installation. Setup guidance and a full object list for available BACnet points are outlined in Q-PAC's Premium User Manual.
