CoBot SmartMagGrip E30 Gripper With VFO and Integrated Sensing Technology

Woking with UR and Fanuc CRX robots, the CoBot SmartMagGrip E30 from Magswitch Technologies uses variable field output and integrated sensing technology to let users adjust the magnetic strength for de-stacking, picking single parts, or picking multiple parts.

The CoBot SmartMagGrip E30 is designed to work in A collaborative robot environment. It uses all of the same features as a typical Magswitch E-Series tool, including variable field output (VFO) and integrated sensing technology.

The VFO lets users adjust the magnetic strength between 0 and 100% for de-stacking, picking single parts, or picking multiple parts. The integrated sensing technology can be used to determine or confirm that the proper part is picked. The parts are taught to the tool through a simple learning process.

The Cobot SmartMagGrip E30 is currently supported with direct integration to Universal Robots and Fanuc CRX robots with dedicated plugins operating via RS-485.

The E30 Gripper, a permanent magnetic gripper, operates on a 24V 1 A power supply and features communication capabilities over various protocols including Ethernet IP, Profinet, and ModBus. It's a smart tool capable of sensing attached parts, identifying dangling parts, verifying correct part placement, and double-blank detection. With VFO technology, it enables the precise handling of thin materials in diverse applications.
