UltiMaker Named Exclusive Americas Distributor for Tectonic-3D Materials
UltiMaker has been named the exclusive North and South American distributor for Tectonic-3D, an advanced materials developer specializing in high-performance polymer filaments. The agreement expands UltiMaker's material ecosystem and supports Tectonic-3D's push into the defense, oil & gas, industrial repair, and medical markets.
The partnership formalizes an existing technical relationship between the two companies, which have previously collaborated on defense-specific 3D printing applications, including specialized print profiles for aerospace and defense use. UltiMaker and Tectonic-3D currently support 10 dedicated print profiles in the UltiMaker Marketplace, configured for the S series and Factor series printers, allowing users to work with Tectonic-3D's carbon fiber-reinforced and flame-retardant materials on those platforms.
UltiMaker will carry the full Tectonic-3D filament portfolio, which includes four series:
- KRATIR Series: Carbon fiber and glass fiber-reinforced polymers—PET, PA, and PP—engineered for high stiffness and heat resistance.
- ZEPHYR Series: Bio-based, lightweight structural materials for drone and aerial applications.
- VULCAN Series: High-temperature, flame-retardant filaments including PEI, PEKK, and PPSU for demanding environments.
- ANASA Series: Biocompatible and flexible TPC materials for medical and ergonomic applications.
"Tectonic-3D's commitment to advanced material innovation perfectly complements our mission to provide a reliable, industrial-grade production platform," said Jim Franz, President of the Americas at UltiMaker. "By becoming the exclusive U.S. distributor, we are giving our customers direct access to the most advanced filaments on the market, backed by the seamless integration and support they expect from UltiMaker."
"We look forward to building upon our partnership with UltiMaker," said Ken Kempinski, CEO and Co-founder of Tectonic-3D. "Our materials are designed to push the boundaries of what is possible in additive manufacturing. We are extremely excited to expand our collaborations with UltiMaker on their S and Factor series printers."
