PC-PRO Software Controls Hydrostatic Transmissions
Danfoss' PC-PRO single-path propel software solution for hydrostatic transmissions delivers precise speed and torque control in automotive and non-automotive applications.
Designed for off-highway machinery—including wheel loaders, telehandlers, dumpers, feeder mixers, combines, harvesters, and forestry equipment—it runs on the Danfoss PC036 controller and is configurable via the Danfoss PLUS+1 service tool.
ECO mode activates automatically at medium to high vehicle speeds, reducing engine speed in proportion to vehicle speed while maintaining a constant speed to lower fuel consumption and minimize noise emissions.
The auto-inch function reduces hydrostatic pump command during engine speed increases from external requests, maintaining vehicle speed while delivering smooth, precise movement. When work functions or steering demand higher oil flow, the external engine RPM request automatically increases engine speed to ensure sufficient power delivery.
Smart calibration routines compensate for natural product variances, including current-to-speed and current-to-displacement relationships, enabling consistent, repeatable driving behavior across a fleet and eliminating assembly line adjustments. Parameters transfer directly from machine to machine, reducing commissioning time.
PC-PRO supports electric displacement control (EDC), non-feedback proportional electric control (NFPE), and Danfoss Hybrid Load Control (HLC).
Compatible hardware includes Danfoss MP1P and H1P hydrostatic pumps, H1B proportional motors, and optional DST pressure sensors. The PC062 controller is forthcoming.
The software includes all features from Danfoss PC-GO and will be Cyber Resilience Act and Machinery Regulation compliant upon the effective dates of that legislation.
