Le Series BEV Medium-Duty Truck With 269 kWh Battery

Fleets running urban delivery and regional distribution routes face growing pressure to reduce emissions without sacrificing the payload capacity and upfitting flexibility of a medium-duty platform. Hino Truck's Le Series is a battery electric vehicle (BEV) available in two GVWR configurations—25,950 lb (11,770 kg) (L6e) and 33,000 lb (14,969 kg) (L7e)—built on an existing commercial truck platform with production scheduled to begin Q3 2026.

The drivetrain is built around Accelera's Integrated e-Axle 14Xe Gen 4.5, delivering 260 kW (348 hp) peak power and 180 kW (241 hp) continuous power through an integrated two-speed automatic transmission. Energy is supplied by a Hexagon Purus ProPack Battery System using Panasonic Energy lithium-ion cells rated at 269 kWh and up to 750V DC. DC fast charging via CCS Type 1 at 120 kW supports a 0–80% state-of-charge in approximately 1.8 h.

Programmable regenerative braking and optimized weight distribution support efficiency and range across duty cycles. The clear back-of-cab design is intended to simplify body upfitting across vocational applications. Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning.
