HDV250 Digital Comparator Offers LED Surface Illumination
Starrett's Metrology Systems Division's HDV250 is a digital comparator that replaces the traditional optical comparator projection screen with a high-resolution camera and digital monitor while maintaining crosshair-based measurement methodology.
An integrated LED ring light provides surface illumination for enhanced surface contrast and edge definition across a range of part finishes, including features that cannot be backlit. The system supports micron-level accuracy through advanced measurement algorithms.
Digital traceability is built in for validation, reporting, and compliance support. The compact, floor-ready footprint is designed for small and mid-scale operations, and the workflow is intended to minimize retraining when upgrading from a traditional comparator.
