KR CYBERTECH Series Adds 25 and 35 kg Payload Variants
Medium-payload automation cells frequently require a trade-off between robot footprint and load capacity—limiting how tightly equipment can be integrated and how much a robot can handle. Kuka's KR CYBERTECH 25 kg and 35 kg variants (55 lb and 77 lb, respectively) are 6-axis industrial robots that expand the payload range of the KR CYBERTECH family without increasing the physical footprint.
Both models feature a completely redesigned central hand with a solid wrist construction that improves rigidity for handling, fast pick-and-place tasks, and applications that introduce additional process forces such as grinding or deburring. Path accuracy meets the requirements of demanding applications, including photovoltaic wafer handling. The central wrist carries an IP67 protection rating, providing resistance to dust and water ingress, with IP65 available at additional joints.
Both variants can be mounted at any angle—floor, wall, or ceiling—without hardware modification, a design characteristic carried forward from the previous KR CYBERTECH generation. Repeatability is ±0.03 mm. Both robots comply with ISO 10218:2025 and are certified for CE, NRTL, and CR markets.
Both models are available paired with the KR C5 slim controller running the iiQKA.OS2 operating system. The controller cabinet includes free slots for additional drive units, allowing incremental capacity expansion without replacing the cabinet. The package is completed with the KUKA smartPLUG teach pendant and a web-based UI. Multi-protocol fieldbus compatibility supports integration with existing automation infrastructure.
