X-Series Washers Expand to Seven New Sizes for Critical Joints
Bolted joints in high-stress environments face failure from thermal cycling, soft metal relaxation, and multicomponent assembly slackening—conditions where standard fasteners fall short. The X-Series washers combine wedge-locking technology with settlement compensation to maintain secure connections under these conditions.
Seven new sizes have been added to the range: NLX20sp, NLX22 (7/8"), NLX22sp (7/8"sp), NLX24, NLX24sp, NLX27, and NLX27sp. The multifunctional design integrates the wedge-locking action of the original Nord-Lock washers with the ability to compensate for joint relaxation, making the X-Series applicable across a broader set of bolting scenarios.
The washers address slackening caused by thermal cycling, relaxation in soft metals and composites, and assemblies with multiple clamped components. In 2025, the X-Series became the first washers of this type to receive CE marking, verified through independent third-party testing.
