Martin Engineering Acquires CVT, Expanding Conveyor Belt Cleaner Portfolio

Martin Engineering acquires ConveyorTech Pty Ltd, adding non-urethane conveyor belt cleaners and components to its global portfolio.

Martin Engineering (Neponset, IL) has acquired ConveyorTech Pty. Ltd. (CVT) of Australia, adding a range of non-urethane conveyor belt cleaners and components to its lineup.

The acquisition gives Martin access to CVT's IP, designs, and specifications for heavy-duty primary and secondary belt cleaners with tungsten-tipped blades. Martin says the move addresses demand from mine operators and material processors who prefer non-urethane designs—a segment the company hadn't previously served.

The company plans to enhance the acquired designs for improved durability while offering fully interchangeable spare and wear parts for existing CVT installations.

Rory Summerford, who previously worked with CVT, has joined Martin Engineering to lead global integration of the product line. He brings 30 years of experience supporting mine operators and bulk material producers.

The first products introduced under the acquisition include:

Martin H1 Primary Belt Cleaner: Features abrasion-resistant tungsten carbide tips for cost-efficient cleaning on most material types, including abrasive materials and high-speed belts.

Martin P2 Secondary Belt Cleaner: Available with three tungsten carbide tip options; removes abrasive materials and leftover fines from high-speed belts to reduce spillage and airborne dust.

Martin R2 Secondary Belt Cleaner: Designed for reversing belts, trippers, and shuttles; offers the same tungsten carbide-tipped construction and performance as the P2 in demanding bulk-handling environments.

Initial availability spans Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Mexico, the U.S., and parts of Europe.
