Ensurge Micropower ASA is relocating its San Jose operations to a new 32,000-sq-ft (2,973-sq-m) facility at 130 Baytech Drive, purpose-built to advance the company's solid-state lithium microbattery development and pilot-line production.

The move is a shift toward a leaner, more disciplined operating model built around process control, quality assurance, and reproducibility as the company works to commercialize its technology for med-tech, consumer electronics, IoT, and defense applications. The new space also gives customers and partners a dedicated environment to see pilot-line capabilities firsthand, which could speed up qualification and adoption decisions for companies evaluating solid-state microbatteries for their own product lines.

Ensurge expects the new building to reduce facility costs from 30% to 10% of monthly operating expenses, freeing up resources the company can redirect toward technology development.

Ensurge will gain access to the Baytech Drive facility starting October 1, 2026. The company will retain a defined process area at its current Junction Avenue site through year-end to keep operations running while equipment and workflows are transferred and qualified.
