Ladishs ZKM Forging Earns Nadcap Accreditation

Part of effort to be able to bid on advanced aerospace forging work.

Ladish Co., Inc. (www.ladishco.com) reports that ZKM Forging, located in Stalowa Wola, Poland, and acquired by Ladish in 2005, has received Nadcap accreditation for NonDestructive Testing.

Nadcap (formerly NADCAP, the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is a global cooperative standards-setting program for aerospace engineering, defense, and related industries.

Ray Knutilla, managing director, European Operations for Ladish, said, “The audit was completed by the Nadcap NonDestructive Testing Task Group in November 2007 and we have just received notice that our audit was successful. This Nadcap certification is the latest accomplishment in ZKM Forging’s ongoing effort to position itself to bid on the most advanced aerospace forging work.”

Jack Franczak, director – quality & technology, European Operations for Ladish, said, “This initial audit examined the new Magnetic Particle Inspection cell in Stalowa Wola and provides testing accreditation for a 12-month period.”

Ladish is headquartered in Cudahy, WI with operations in Wisconsin, Oregon, and Connecticut as well as in Poland.
