Efficiency and flexibility to handle over 10 million hot steel forgings per year

San Grato SpA forges over 10 million auto parts every year at two plants in Northern Italy, in sizes up to 800 mm long, diameters up to 350 mm, and weighing 0.5 up to 30 kg. This volume is possible because of the efficiency and flexibility of a series of robots developed by FCA subsidiary Comau SpA, in place to tend each stage of the sequenced closed-die forming operation.
