Apple Accused in Lawsuit of Poaching Workers

Feb. 19, 2015
An EV battery-maker says Apple is pilfering its top engineers for its own battery division.

Apple is being sued by a company that makes batteries used in electric vehicles.

A123 Systems has filed suit, accusing Apple of raiding its workforce, grabbing top engineers to get ahead of the game in battery development. A former A123 employee has also been named, accused of recruiting for Apple.

No matter what the outcome, the moves by Apple add more credence to rumors the company is looking to get into the automobile business with an electric car.
