!3/4D+?andria, Minnesota – March 29, 2006 The Douglas Contour™ SPS-75 Shrink Packer handles unstable products with ease using the patentpending Smartrak™ Steady Stream Infeed System and patented pinless metering. The Smartrak™ eliminates soft bottle product bridging and removes the gaps that compromise pack pattern accuracy and continuous product flow. Patented pinless metering uses new technology to gently meter products at speeds 50% faster than traditional metering. Pinless metering also eliminates product damage sometimes caused by pin metering, reducing operating costs. Contour™ SPS-75 features include a patent-pending tunnel utilizing advanced heat and airflow management to deliver tightly wrapped packages for maximum package integrity and appearance. A patent-pending servo driven wrapping wand provides exceptional film control and accurate film placement. Speeds are to 75 cycles per minute. The SPS-75 easily handles a wide variety of product types and pack patterns without lengthy changeovers and few change parts, maximizing flexibility.
