The OD200 miniature measuring distance sensor for short ranges delivers stable measurement results on highly reflective, black, or irregular surfaces. A newly developed triangulation measurement core, high-resolution receiver line, and optimized optical system provide stable measured values and reliable detection and switching behavior. Designed for process speeds up to 3 kHz, it is available in sensor variants for measuring ranges of 1 to 6 in (25 to 160 mm).

The receiver unit reliably detects surfaces with low remission, while the optical system's geometry and homogeneity of the light spot and ambient light immunity help ensure consistent performance in complex environments. Together, these features reduce incorrect measurements and missing signals compared to standard devices, resulting in less downtime and maintenance.

The OD200 is easy to set up using plug-and-play. Intelligent default settings, built-in algorithms, and a user interface on the display simplify commissioning. Connectivity options include IO-Link, analog current or voltage output, and one switching input and output, providing flexibility for automation systems and Industry 4.0 environments. In addition to measurement data, the sensor supplies operating data for inline optimization and condition monitoring.
