Insulation Resistance Testers Offer Precision and Accuracy

Megger's MIT series comes in four different models

A series of insulation resistance testers are now capable of safely testing high- and low-voltage equipment. These four models (MIT515, MIT525, MIT1025 and MIT1525) can easily test voltage power cables and buses, large motor/generator windings as well as line and substation transformers for insulation resistance.


Each tester is lightweight with a lithium-ion battery that continuously tests for up to six hours on a single battery charge.  The unit can also keep taking measurements when the battery is fully discharged as long as the unit is still connected to line power. This is designed to obtain an optimal charge in minimal time.


All of the models can deliver short circuit current with Megger’s max power regulation technology, which ensures maximum power transfer at 3 mA for any load until the desired test voltage is reached.


The MIT525, MIT1025 and MIT1525 perform a variety of tests for QA testing in manufacturing processes, diagnostic testing to isolate faulty components for repair, and routine preventative/predictive maintenance testing after an installation.

All Models

  • Rated for use at an altitude of 3,000 meters and still maintain CAT IV 600 V safety rating
