IMTS 2026 New Products: Machine Tools, Cutting, and Automation

From 5-axis machining centers to precision tools, here's some of the new equipment buyers saw in Chicago.

IMTS 2026 filled McCormick Place Sept. 14-19 with live demos of the latest machine tools, cutting systems, and automation. Some made their world premiere in Chicago. Others launched within the past two years and were at IMTS for the first time, often in new configurations or paired with automation.

"IMTS 2026 highlighted how quickly manufacturing technology is moving from concept to application," said Mike Cicco, president and CEO of FANUC America and chairman of the board at AMT. "Manufacturers are looking for practical ways to improve productivity, increase flexibility, and address workforce challenges, and many of the conversations throughout the show were focused on technologies that can help them achieve those goals today. The strong interest in AI-enabled solutions and advanced automation reflects an industry that is actively evaluating how to translate innovation into real-world results."

This gallery collects the new equipment worth a closer look. It ranges from high-torque horizontal machining centers to vertical machining centers for mold and die work, plus machining software and much more.
