NorthShore Care Supply Hits 300+ Picks Per Hour With AMRs and Voice Picking
NorthShore Care Supply achieves high-throughput order fulfillment by combining autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) with voice-directed picking technology in its warehouse operations.
The system is orchestrated by Numina Group's RDS BatchBot 2.0, which coordinates AMR movement and voice picking workflows to streamline order execution across multiple pick zones and improve overall operational flow.
NorthShore has been using a system-directed automation approach built on RDS software, AMRs, and voice picking to optimize batch order release, reduce travel time, and synchronize operators with mobile robots across high-volume fulfillment operations.
The combined solution enables operators to handle high-volume picking activity while maintaining efficiency across complex order batches. Performance results include more than 300 lines picked per operator per hour, cart capacities of up to 1,100 lb (499 kg), and up to 38 orders per trip.
The integrated automation approach also supports up to a 50% reduction in labor requirements while improving consistency and throughput in warehouse operations.
