The commercial spaceflight company says it's going to build out a 150,000 square foot location at the Long Beach Airport that was once used by Boeing.
The company says this move will put them in position to lead the way in the commercial space travel market ahead competitors like SpaceX and Orbital ATK.
The LauncherOne is a two-stage orbital launch vehicle, capable of delivering satellites of up to 500 pounds into orbit. And according to The Verge, the company already has its first order.
The tech company OneWeb is attempting to build a satellite-based Internet, and plans to put a network of 648 satellites floating above the earth.
