IFS Acquires Softeon to Launch End-to-End Industrial AI Supply Chain Intelligence Platform
IFS has completed its acquisition of Softeon, creating a new supply chain technology platform designed to deliver end-to-end intelligence from strategic planning to warehouse execution. Operating as IFS Softeon, the combined business brings together IFS's Industrial AI capabilities with Softeon's 20+ years of tier-1 warehouse management system (WMS) experience.
The move aims to solve a persistent problem across manufacturing, logistics, and retail operations—most enterprises still rely on disconnected ERP and WMS environments that create visibility gaps and operational inefficiencies. IFS Softeon is positioned as a unified supply chain solution that connects decision-making at the board level with physical execution across the warehouse floor using Industrial AI, robotics orchestration, and advanced warehouse execution intelligence.
The platform builds on IFS's existing reach across asset-intensive industries, where the company manages approximately $2.4 trillion in critical assets through its IFS Cloud ecosystem. Embedded Industrial AI, machine learning, and real-time analytics are designed to help organizations optimize inventory, improve responsiveness, and coordinate automation technologies within complex operations.
Softeon brings its WMS platform that has earned industry recognition, including Visionary status in the 2025 "Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems." The software supports a global customer base that includes companies such as Brooks Automation, Inc., Casey's General Stores, Denso Corporation, Sears Home Services, Sony Group Corporation, and United Parcel Service (UPS). Together, the platform processes millions of orders each month and supports warehouse operations spanning 30 countries.
According to Mark Moffat, CEO of IFS, the acquisition creates a new category of supply chain technology. "The introduction of IFS Softeon means every enterprise wrestling with the complexity of modern supply chains now has access to something genuinely new: end-to-end supply chain intelligence, from strategic decision-making to physical execution on the warehouse floor. Industrial AI meets limitless warehouse execution. That's a combination that will supercharge what's possible for our customers."
"Joining IFS is the natural next step in Softeon's journey. Our customers chose us because we deliver. Now, backed by IFS's Industrial AI platform and global reach, we can deliver even more—AI-driven warehouse orchestration, robotics interoperability, and predictive inventory intelligence. The future of warehouse management just got a whole lot more exciting," stated Jim Hoefflin, CEO, IFS Softeon.
The companies said existing Softeon customers will continue receiving support without disruption, while ongoing investment will accelerate innovation in warehouse automation, inventory optimization, and supply chain resilience. IFS customers will gain access to enterprise-grade WMS capabilities, and new customers will be able to source integrated supply chain intelligence from a single vendor.
