Groninger to Debut Lifecycle Solutions Program and RTU Processing Equipment at INTERPHEX NYC 2026
Groninger will use INTERPHEX NYC, April 21–23, to introduce its new Lifecycle Solutions service concept and showcase the UFVN platform, its upper-performance solution for ready-to-use (RTU) processing.
Lifecycle Solutions consolidates all service offerings across the full lifespan of Groninger equipment—from initial commissioning and ongoing optimization through modernization and retrofit. The program is designed to give pharmaceutical manufacturers and CDMOs a single, structured framework for managing machine performance and availability over time, rather than addressing service needs reactively.
"Comprehensive services are no longer a nice-to-have; they are an essential part of value creation," said Christian Thieme, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at groninger USA. "Our customers expect support to begin long before an issue arises. They expect—rightly so—proximity, rapid response, and an infrastructure that operates in real time."
The program launch coincides with Groninger's ongoing $14.2 million expansion of its North American headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., which will add manufacturing, assembly, and service capacity. The investment is aimed at shortening lead times on spare and format parts and expanding local technical support.
"With this expansion, we're laying the foundation the market needs now: shorter distances, direct points of contact, and on-site manufacturing that can respond within hours rather than days," said Philipp Hauser, CEO of Groninger USA.
Also on display at the show will be the UFVN, Groninger's platform for high-volume RTU processing. The system is built around 100% inline process control (IPC), checking each container individually, detecting deviations in real time, and rejecting out-of-specification units automatically. It handles syringes, vials, and cartridges on a single platform without sacrificing throughput.
"We're presenting this machine platform at the show because it demonstrates what's possible when technology and experience converge: stable high performance across all RTU formats," said Dirk Schuster, Global Head of Sales for Groninger's pharma division. "Our customers want to see that high performance, container flexibility, and process reliability work not just on paper but in daily production."
Beyond the exhibit floor, Groninger's Julian Petersen, Global Head of Business Development for pharma, will participate in a conference panel examining how regulatory and market shifts are affecting filling system design and procurement strategy. His discussion will focus on design-verified systems that have been prequalified on filling lines—an approach that reduces interface complexity and accelerates the transition from clinical to commercial production.
"We're seeing that early decisions on formats and technologies are increasingly determining the speed and safety of later clinical and commercial phases," Petersen said. "When component suppliers, CDMOs, and equipment manufacturers collaborate from the start, risks can be reduced, and development becomes significantly more robust."
INTERPHEX NYC runs April 21–23 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. Groninger will exhibit at Booth 1408.
