The NK23 MySpot is a resistance spot welder from Koyo Giken, now available through North American distributor International Technologies, Inc. The NK23 series targets applications including switchboard panels, NEMA enclosures, steel furniture, tool chests, food display cases, vending machines, signboards, compressor housings, and automotive components such as car doors.

The NK23 features a redesigned horizontal welding gun for accessing deep boxes and narrow channels that are difficult to reach with conventional resistance welding equipment. Dual-arm models include a vertical gun for stud and nut welding as well as tall, deep, and narrow weld points. Copper tables include a new lifting function that simplifies the use of jig electrodes shaped to the workpiece.

Ergonomic updates to the NK23 reduce the load required to move the welding arm by up to 53% and reduce the effort required to insert the H-gun by up to 91% compared to previous models. Floating welding guns allow operators to position the welding tip at the desired weld location without complex fixturing or setup.

The NK23 uses high-speed welding technology that delivers a 0.01 s burst of current to minimize heat transfer, producing welds with minimal marking and indentation. High-speed welding is standard on the NK23 series, along with 3.8 kN high-pressure welding capability.

The MySpot CNC automatically sets welding parameters based on material type and thickness. The NK23 EZK touch panel adds barcode scanning for offline part design, weld sequence optimization, and production management. A graphical display of optimal weld locations reduces operator error, and weld history storage supports maintenance, inspection, and traceability.
