CVGC Carbon Vacuum Gripper for Cobots Can be Easily Customized to Your Needs

June 24, 2024
Coval's second generation of the CVGC carbon vacuum gripper for cobots provides multiple configuration possibilities so each user can configure their gripper to their exact needs with 3 different sizes and 2 styles of grips.

COVAL launched a second-generation version of its first CVGC carbon vacuum gripper for collaborative robots (cobots), redesigning the gripper based on feedback from customers, integrators, manufacturers, and operators.

Aspects taken into account were larger application uses, better compatibility with operators, and handling heavier loads.

As a result, the new version of the CVGC provides multiple configuration possibilities so each user can configure their gripper to their exact needs.

The CVGC is available in three sizes (240 x 120 mm, 320 x 160 mm, 350 x 250 mm), with two gripping interfaces (foam or suction cups), and with or without an integrated vacuum generator.

The CVGC is available with a choice of three mounting options and six connecting cables which make it compatible with all major brands of cobots.

Now with a multi-stage vacuum pump, its increased power combined with the lightness of the carbon fiber casing that is 2.5x lighter than steel with 6x greater strength, means the gripper can carry heavier loads.

The CVGC collaborates with operators while performing separate, simultaneous, or alternating tasks. As a safety precaution, the vacuum gripper has a guard around the edges made of flexible, resistant material to protect the operator in case any contact with it occurs.

Functions include display, vacuum generator, vacuum gauge, silencer, connectors, and more.

On request, COVAL’s design team is also available to develop customized vacuum grippers.
