EK1240SLX 12-Ton Crimper Cuts Weight, Boosts Durability
Utility and industrial crews performing repetitive crimping face fatigue and strain over long days in the field, particularly when handling heavy tools for high-force connections. The EK1240SLX 12-Ton Crimper is a redesigned crimping tool built on a 12-ton platform, delivering 24,000 lb (106.8 kN) of crimping force for connectors up to 750 kcmil (380 mm²) copper and aluminum, while weighing 10% less and lasting 35% longer than its predecessor.
A newly engineered C-head design redistributes weight to improve balance and reduce strain on arms and shoulders, while a grooved guide provides ram alignment for consistent, repeatable crimps. An integrated Automatic Retraction Stop (ARS) retracts the ram just enough to prepare for the next cycle, saving time and energy. Intelli-CRIMP technology monitors crimp force throughout the cycle and provides a visual and audible alert if a crimp falls out of specification, which is useful for tools used in remote or hard-to-reach applications. The tool comes with a seven-year warranty.
