SLPL Spring-Driven Hose Reels Get Higher-Pressure Inline Swivel

Coxreels SLPL 1¼" and 1½" spring-driven models now feature a nickel-plated steel inline swivel rated to 1,500 psi.

Hose reel applications requiring high-pressure fluid delivery or stainless steel fluid paths have historically faced limited plumbing options on mid-size spring-driven reels.

Five SLPL models (725, 750, 825, 835, and 850) in 1¼" and 1½" configurations now ship with a nickel-plated steel inline swivel sourced from the 1185-Series, replacing the previous aluminum inline swivel. The upgrade raises the inline plumbing pressure rating from 250 psi to 1,500 psi and incorporates multi-lobe seals for improved leak integrity.

The new inline swivel is also available in stainless steel, giving users a second option for stainless fluid path requirements, one that's more cost-effective than the previously available 90° stainless steel swivel. Both the nickel-plated and stainless steel inline swivels provide a less restrictive flow path than the 90° swivel configuration.

Axle plumbing has also been updated on both standard carbon steel and optional stainless steel models. The 135° elbow on the axle riser has been replaced with a swept riser design (also from the 1185-Series), reducing flow restriction and improving overall flow efficiency.

Applications

  • High-pressure fluid delivery
  • Stainless steel fluid path routing
  • Spring-driven hose reel service in 1¼" & 1½" configurations

Industries

  • Industrial manufacturing
  • Oil & gas
  • Food & beverage (stainless steel applications)

Who It's For

  • Applications requiring inline plumbing above 250 psi
  • Stainless steel fluid path at lower cost than 90° swivel configurations
  • Operations needing improved flow efficiency over angled swivel designs
