LVCM-051-032-06 Linear Voice Coil Motor Tolerates Misalignment
LVCM-051-032-06 Linear Voice Coil Motor is a compact moving coil DC servo motor designed with a larger radial air gap to tolerate tilting and misalignment when clamping out-of-parallel objects or handling off-center loads. The motor is 2 in (50.8 mm) in diameter with a 1.25 in (31.7 mm) long housing and measures 1.81 in (46 mm) at mid stroke. The unit provides 0.625 in stroke travel.
Peak force is 9.2 lb (40.8 N) at a 10% duty cycle, and continuous force is 2.9 lb (12.9 N). The low inertia design supports high acceleration and deceleration while operating quietly with zero cogging as a brushless DC servo motor. The motor is suited for sorting, packaging, sampling, work holding, clamping, laser machining, drilling, wafer handling, and medical and pharmaceutical uses.
The motor is designed for closed-loop servo operation with high accuracy and repeatability. The housing includes two 10-32 UNC-2B threaded mounting holes on 1 in (25.4 mm) bolt circles at both the housing and coil end for simplified integration. A plug-and-play system with an encoder and servo controller is available.
Multiple models in the LVCM series are offered based on motor diameter, stroke length, and force output.
