Update: TrewSort Sliding Shoe Sorter Now With TrewTouch
Update: April 2026
Trew has introduced TrewTouch, a product-handling approach for its TrewSort sliding shoe sorter that improves accuracy and control in mixed-item sortation environments. It creates smooth, controlled acceleration during diverts, reducing product impact and mis-diverts across cartons, polybags, parcels, and bags.
Configurations support speeds up to 750 ft/min (229 m/min) and single sorter lengths up to 800 ft (244 m).
Designed for high-throughput retail, ecommerce, and parcel operations.

TrewSort Sliding Shoe Sorter uses AI in its self-learning actuators with mechanical and control design elements for high-rate, accurate, and reliable line sortation of cartons, parcels, totes, poly bags, and other items. It has a throughput rate of 100 to 300+ cartons/min.
It offers high-density product spacing, catch-free transportation surface and divert elements, and high-performance materials that eliminate snag points and walls seen in other designs.
The AI uses machine learning built into the divert actuator to allow the sorter to maintain its own accuracy by identifying issues before they become problems.
TrewSort is ideal for heavy use in facilities running 3 shifts/day, with features like adjustable divert switch locations, modular machine sections, expandable electrical design, and adjustable after-sort lane connections to fit buildings easily and expand in the future.
