Laser Next Core 3D Laser Cutter Reduces Cost-Per-Part by 25%

Prima Power's Laser Next Core 3D laser cutter has a working volume 58% larger and a footprint 25% smaller than comparable models.

Prima Power's Laser Next Core is a 3D laser cutting machine for job shops and flexible manufacturing environments requiring fast setup, production changeover, and variable production mixes. It handles both 2D and 3D cutting with an optional welding head for lap and butt joints.

Axis strokes measure 10 x 7 x 2 ft (3,160 x 2,100 x 750 mm), accommodating parts of any size and geometry. Cost-per-part runs up to 25% lower than market references through reduced labor intervention, minimal maintenance, and limited gas and power consumption. Safe-cutting nozzles reduce nitrogen use by up to 30%.

The machine uses maintenance-free linear drives and direct motors for high dynamics and reliability. Dual-position, height-adjustable tables support ergonomic part handling. One-click programming, an intuitive HMI with graphical teach panel, and automatic head-offset compensation by local head axis simplify operation. Typical applications involve batch sizes of fewer than 1,000 parts.

The Laser Next Core joins three existing models in the 3D laser product family: the Laser Next 2141, and the Laser Next 1530 and 2130. It can be integrated into turnkey automated systems via the Robotics Integration Unit, which manages 3D laser cutting, part handling, loading/unloading, and quality checks.
