Vanair EPEQ EPRO20 Power Skid Air Compressor Cuts Emissions and Noise

Vanair's EPEQ EPRO20 Power Skid is a skid-mounted, battery-powered air compressor system that provides portable compressed air without engine idling or fuel-powered generators. The system delivers 20 CFM at up to 150 PSI and produces zero emissions with minimal operating noise.

The unit is engineered to drop directly into pickup trucks, UTVs, vans, or trailers without installation, wiring, or permanent vehicle modifications. Construction crews can deploy the system by placing it in position and immediately beginning operation.

Power is supplied by an ELiMENT LiFePO4 battery system rated at 48 V and 100 ampere-hours, offering a 5,000-cycle lifespan. The battery drives the EPEQ AIR20 reciprocating compressor using dual-speed operation that provides either 10 CFM for extended runtime or 20 CFM for high-demand tool operation. A 30-gal (113.6 L) air storage tank supports stable pressure delivery.

Integrated system monitoring is handled through a 7-in smart display interface that shows battery health, air pressure, and operational status in real time. Battery management protections include monitoring for overcurrent, short-circuit, and temperature conditions to help maintain performance in construction environments.

The system helps address emissions reduction and noise compliance challenges by eliminating engine idling. Fuel consumption savings range from 0.5 to 1.0 gal/h of operation, while also reducing maintenance associated with high-use equipment. Workers benefit from lower exhaust exposure and reduced noise levels.

The skid unit weighs 400 lb (181 kg), supporting portable use while maintaining capacity for pneumatic tool applications such as nail guns for residential construction or utility service work. Shore power charging capability enables overnight battery replenishment.
