Hard Drive Degaussers and Crushers Meet NSA Data Destruction Standards
Facilities handling classified or end-of-life media need on-premises data destruction that meets regulatory requirements without waiting on supply chains or service providers. The Intimus Hard Drive Degausser and Crusher line is a U.S.-manufactured collection of degaussers and a hybrid crusher designed for complete, compliant hard drive sanitization at the point of need.
The line centers on three degausser models rated at 10,000, 15,000, and 20,000 Gauss (1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 Tesla). The Model 20000G—the 20,000 Gauss/2.0 Tesla unit—is evaluated and listed on the NSA Evaluated Products List (EPL), meeting government standards for sanitization of classified media. The 10,000 and 15,000-Gauss models are suited for non-government end-of-life media sanitization.
The Intimus Hybrid Crusher is also NSA-evaluated and listed. It supports dual operation: powered automatic mode for standard environments and a manual hand-crank mode for locations where power is unavailable or limited.
When the Model 20000G and Hybrid Crusher are used together, they form a degauss-and-destroy solution that renders data unrecoverable and satisfies the NSA mandate requiring that top-secret media be both degaussed and physically destroyed.
All units operate on multiple power supplies from 90 to 240V AC at 50 to 60 Hz and include integrated operator safety protection. The full line is manufactured in the United States and available for immediate shipment.
