6000 Series Hybrid Buccaneer Connectors Combine Power and Signal
Smaller devices such as test and measurement equipment, sensors, and control systems still need both power and signal connections, but separate connectors and cable runs take up panel space that compact designs don't have. Bulgin's 6000 Series Hybrid Buccaneer is a circular connector that carries power and signal contacts in a single sealed housing, removing the need to route power and signal cables separately.
Each connector has two central power contacts rated at 16 A, surrounded by 3 A signal contacts. It's available in 3 configurations with 2, 4, or 6 signal contacts, so designers can match the contact count to the device.
The hybrid connectors use the same design as the existing 6000 Series Buccaneer range, including a 30° push/pull locking mechanism and panel-mount options.
The connectors are IP68-rated and have been tested submerged at 33 ft (10 m) for 2 weeks. They have also passed salt mist, dust resistance, and thermal resistance testing.
