100 MHz OCXO Offers Ultra-Low Phase Noise for RF and Radar
Raltron's OX6580MK-D3-20-100.000-12 is a 100 MHz oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) designed for applications requiring close-in phase noise performance and long-term frequency stability. The oscillator provides a 100 MHz reference signal targeting higher dynamic range, lower jitter, and improved spectral purity in communications, radar, navigation, and test and measurement systems.
The OX6580MK is designed for both close-in and far-out phase noise performance, keeping phase-noise skirts and reciprocal mixing products below critical signal levels. In test and measurement equipment, its low internal noise floor supports characterization of phase noise, jitter, and spectral purity of devices under test.
The OX6580MK is suited for use as a low-noise reference in microwave and RF communications equipment for applications requiring tighter constellation performance in complex modulation schemes. In radar and electronic warfare systems, low phase noise supports range resolution, Doppler accuracy, and clutter suppression. Navigation, GNSS, and timing subsystems that require stable references for holdover and precise synchronization are also target applications.
Features:
- Phase noise down to −178 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset
- 100 MHz output frequency
- OCXO (oven-controlled crystal oscillator) design
- ppb-class frequency stability
- Low internal noise floor
- Suited for RF and microwave communications, radar, electronic warfare, test and measurement, navigation, GNSS, and timing applications
