FXO CXP-12 Cameras Deliver 50 Gbps in 50 × 50 mm Housing
Machine vision systems designed for tight installation spaces often require a tradeoff between throughput and physical footprint. The FXO CXP-12 Series addresses that constraint with two 4-channel CoaXPress-12 cameras—the fxo935CX12-4C (24.6 MP) and fxo936CX12-4C (12.4 MP)—built around Sony Pregius S BSI global shutter sensors and housed in a 50 x 50 mm (2 x 2 in) body.
Both models transmit data at up to 50 Gbps across four CXP-12 connections. The fxo935CX12-4C uses the Sony IMX935 sensor at 5,328 x 4,608 resolution and reaches up to 192 fps at 8-bit. The fxo936CX12-4C uses the IMX936 sensor at 4,128 x 3,008 resolution and reaches up to 339 fps at 8-bit. Both sensors feature BSI (back-side illuminated) architecture with a global shutter.
The housing measures 50 x 50 x 19 mm in Flat Front configuration or 50 x 50 x 34 mm (2 x 2 x 0.75 in or 2 x 2 x 1 in) with C-Mount. Power-over-CXP eliminates the need for external power supplies, and total power draw is 9W. Passive, fanless cooling supports vibration-free operation from 14° to 140°F (-10° to 60°C), including in cleanroom environments. Both models are available in monochrome and color variants, and the modular lens mount concept supports Flat Front and C-Mount options.
