QCOWM Snap-In Fastener Locks Components in Tight Spaces

Fixtureworks' QCOWM One Touch fastener snaps into place with a 16 mm body diameter and attaches to M3 or M4 screw holes.

When fixtures or components need frequent swapping in confined areas, standard fasteners often demand more mounting real estate than the application allows. Fixturework's QCOWM One Touch Compact Snap-In Fastener is a snap-in fastener with a 16 mm (0.63 in) body diameter designed for quick-change applications where space is limited.

The fastener mounts to the fixture; the accompanying clamping pin, the QCOWM-M, mounts to the base in a single tapped M3 or M4 screw hole. When the fastener is inserted onto the pin, internal pins align with grooves in the receptacle and snap into a locked position. To release, pressing the central button on the fastener disengages the pin. The mechanism delivers consistent clamping force, eliminating the risk of under or over-tightening.

Despite its compact form, the QCOWM achieves 5 lb (2.3 kg) clamping force and 22 lb (10 kg) holding force. Overall height is under 25 mm (0.98 in). The QCOWM-M clamping pin is 5 mm (0.20 in) in diameter and 22 mm (0.87 in) in height, and is made from 630 stainless steel.
