J850 Core PolyJet 3D Printer Offers Multimaterial Prototyping

Stratasys' J850 Core PolyJet 3D printer supports three material channels and 14-micron resolution for functional prototyping without full-color capability.

Stratasys' J850 Core PolyJet 3D printer was created for functional prototyping with multimaterial capability at a lower cost than full-color PolyJet systems. It supports three model-material channels and is compatible with rigid, flexible, transparent, and ToughONE materials in a single print.

Supported materials include VeroUltra Clear, ToughONE, and SUP705B support material.

The build volume is 19.3 x 15.35 x 7.9 in. (490 x 390 x 200 mm). Two print modes are available: High Quality, with layer resolution down to 14 µ (0.00055 in), and High Speed, with 27-µ (0.00055 in) resolution, both supporting up to three base resins.

Dimensional accuracy for rigid materials is ±100 μ for parts under 100 mm and ±200 μ or ±0.06% of part length (whichever is greater) for parts over 100 mm.

The printer uses GrabCAD Print Pro software, which includes automatic nesting, layout optimization, and job presets. Network connectivity is through LAN/TCP-IP.

Typical applications include enclosures, housings, jigs, fixtures, seals, snap fits, and transparent elements. Target use cases include functional prototyping, consumer product development, automotive prototyping, and medical device prototyping.
