Bailey International Opens New Electronics Headquarters in Victoria, B.C.

Bailey’s electronics division, which makes joysticks and controls for mobile equipment, is now under one roof and looking for OEM test partners.

Bailey International’s electronics division has a new home in Victoria, British Columbia, where the company celebrated the opening of its 30,000-sq-ft headquarters on October 8 with a ribbon-cutting and facility tours.

The division makes joysticks, handles, and electronic controls, sold under its Sure Grip Controls brand, among other products, for construction, agriculture, transportation, and other mobile equipment. Before the move, the team was spread across multiple sites, but now the people who design these products and the people who support them share one building.

The build-out ran from January 26 to June 30, 2026.

"Bringing the electronics team together in one headquarters strengthens how we serve our customers and support our people," said Darren Lockyer, VP of Electronics at Bailey International. "As part of Bailey, we're proud to keep investing and building for the future right here in our community."

For OEMs, the bigger news may be that Bailey is looking for development partners.

"We see real potential to improve operator experience, efficiency and safety while simplifying product configuration and supply chains," said Nicholas Whyte, New Product Development Manager at Bailey. "We're looking for OEM partners to help us test and validate where this technology can deliver the most value."

Bailey is headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, manufacturing hydraulic cylinders, power units, valves, and electronic controls under the Chief, Maxim, Hydro Custom, and Sure Grip Controls brands. It also offers design, engineering, testing, and custom manufacturing for mobile equipment makers.
