How to Prevent Workplace Injuries

Workers' compensation creates frustration for employers because most don't understand how they can lower their costs.

Summer is vacation season. But rather than taking a road trip, one safety expert suggests taking a metaphorical "guilt trip" to reduce workplace accidents and injuries.

"I think we can put people—including ourselves—on a guilt trip for safety and thereby increase self-responsibility for injury prevention," explains E. Scott Geller, a noted safety thought leader and senior partner at Safety Performance Solutions.
