Cleveland-based forging producer SIFCO Industries, Inc. appointed James P. Woidke as its new chief operating officer. Woidke will be responsible for SIFCO’s three operating segments: Aerospace Component Manufacturing, Applied Surface Concepts, and Turbine Component Services and Repair Groups.
Woidke had been general manager SIFCO’s Aerospace Component Manufacturing Group. As he did in that post, Woidke will report to Michael S. Lipscomb, who remains president and CEO.
“Jim has shown, through his excellent stewardship of the Aerospace Component Manufacturing Group, that he is ready to expand his influence and help move the entire company toward improved customer service and even better financial performance,” Lipscomb said.
SIFCO is an integrated forging facility, with closed-die forging up to 40,000 lb; hydraulic presses up to 2,500 tons; precision hydraulic screw press; and a mechanical upsetter; 5,000-lb open-frame hammer. It produces components in a range of materials, including carbon, alloy, and stainless steels, aluminum, titanium, and cobalt, copper, and nickel alloys.
