Cogne Acciai Speciali, in Aosta, Italy, has invested several million euros to start up a new 5,000-tonne press with an associated manipulator, heat treatment furnaces, and other equipment.
Cogne produces large forged bars and blooms that are used for production of large components such as seamless pipe, gas turbine parts, aircraft engine parts, and propeller shafts.
