Hydraulic Press Fire at Forged Components

All workers were evacuated safely at Navasota, TX, forge shop.

Forging has learned that Forged Components Inc., Navasota, TX, suffered a fire on one of its forging presses on Jan. 26. A hydraulic line ruptured and the resulting hydraulic fluid spill caught fire, requiring the evacuation of employees in the plant at the time. The fire was put out by local fire departments, but the building suffered some structural damage.
