CastForge 2020, the second staging of the "Trade Fair for Castings and Forgings with Processing", has been postponed for one year as a consequence of the still spreading Covid-19 pandemic. In its announcement of the change, organizer Messe Stuttgart cited a new ordinance on infection protection measures (Corona Ordinance) enacted by the Baden-Württemberg State Government.
For its inaugural staging in June 2018, CastForge attracted more than 3,700 visitors and over 150 exhibitors.
The new schedule for CastForge 2021 is set for June 8-10, 2021. That event will be held concurrently with Moulding Expo, International Trade Fair for Tool, Pattern and Mould Making. "The parallel trade fair holds out the promise of attractive synergy effects both for visitors and exhibitors," Messe Stuttgart noted.
"The health of everyone has top priority and we can offer planning security to exhibitors, visitors, and all partners thanks to the official legal ordinance," stated Thomas Walter, v.p. - Industry & Technology and a managing board member of Messe Stuttgart. "Our objective is now to directly start all over again and stage a successful trade fair in 2021."
