Plexus Systems, a provider of on-demand total management information software solutions for manufacturing companies, has achieved several notable milestones so far this year. The company reached record sales level growth, expanded its management and technical team, and achieved industry recognition.
During the first five weeks of the 2006 calendar year, Plexus Systems has already booked 65 percent of its total sales objectives for the year, putting it well on course to exceed its projected annual growth rate. This growth is driven by high interest in Plexus Online, an on-demand enterprise management system. The product helps manufacturers interconnect and manage the total manufacturing process with a single, easy-to-use user interface.
The early year sales success has been achieved mainly from new contracts with various manufacturers, including Japan-based Oneda Corporation, Magna Powertrain (Concord, Ontario), Shape Corporation (Grand Haven, Mich.), J.G. Kern (Sterling Heights, Mich.), and Freudenberg-NOK, a joint venture of Germany-based Freudenberg and Japan-based NOK Corporation.
"These new customers are representative of the scope of our solution capabilities. Plexus Online can help them manage a global enterprise or track the detailed activities in a single manufacturing facility," said Rob Beatty, founder and chief executive officer, Plexus Systems.
The company added 13 management and technology professionals to its Michigan team. The new hires bring a range of skills to the company, including international international marketing, software development, project management and customer service. The company's website can be found at www.plex.com.
