Charles Crout has been promoted at Ajax Manufacturing, based in Cleveland, OH, to Vice President and General Manager. In this new role, he is responsible for operations at Ajax Manufacturing and its Chambersburg Equipment Co. division.
Both divisions produce capital equipment for the forging industry including hammers, impacters, forging presses, trimming presses, forging rolls, and upsetters. In addition to capital equipment, the operations also furnish spare parts for all of the equipment they build and offer rebuilding services, used equipment, technical training, and tooling systems.
Crout has been employed in the forging industry for 34 years, the first 23 years with Chambersburg Engineering Co. before joining Forging Developments (International), Inc. 11 years ago. FDI became part of Ajax Manufacturing in 1997.
