May 23, 2006-- The Forging Industry Educational and Research Foundation (FIERF) has elected four trustees to its board to serve three-year terms. They are:
Anthony Biell, director of quality assurance and metallurgy with Scot Forge Co., Spring Grove, IL;
Douglas Brown, president – forging division with Inductotherm – Heating & Welding Group, Madison Heights, MI;
Paul Dimitry, director – technical services and product development with MACSTEEL, Jackson, MI; and
Bruce Liimatainen, chairman and CEO of A. Finkl & Sons Co., Chicago, IL.
Additionally, John Pale of American Axle & Manufacturing in Detroit, MI was elected vice president of the foundation. He is the manager of advanced technology with AAM. Joseph Cipriani was elected to the foundation’s executive committee. He is the president of Keystone Forging Co. in Northumberland, PA.
Michael Wicklund, president of Missouri Forge Inc. is serving the second year of a two-year term as president of the foundation.
FIERF is a supporting organization to the FIA (Forging Industry Association). Its goal is to promote formal education and scientific research in the technologies related to the forging industry.
