Exec Takes Controlling Stake in SECO

July 26, 2005
Boswell named president and CEO

SECO/Warwick Corp. vice president Jeffrey W. Boswell has acquired the majority interest in the company, and taken the positions of president and chief executive officer of the Pennsylvania-based industrial-heating equipment manufacturer. "I am happy to announce this transition where we can keep the company in Meadville. Our goal has always been to do just that and this transaction allows the company to continue to make a contribution our local community," Boswell stated. The minority stake in the company is held now by SECO/Warwick Ltd. Poland, which was established in 1989 as a joint venture.

Paul Huber, SECO/Warwick’s past president and CEO, has been elected chairman of the Pennsylvania company.

Boswell is a graduate of Gannon University in Erie, PA, with a B.S. in Industrial Management. He joined Sunbeam Equipment Corp. in 1978 as a project engineer in the furnace sales department. In 1983, he worked as a project engineer for Vacuum Systems. In 1986, he was promoted to product manager for SECO/Warwick’s General Furnaces Group with responsibility for marketing over forty types of vacuum and atmosphere heat treat systems.

In 1989, Boaell was promoted to vice president of Sales and Marketing, and elected to the corporation’s board of directors. He directed corporate global sales and marketing efforts during his term as vice president. According to SECO, Boswell was responsible for the successful global product launch for Controlled Atmosphere Brazing furnace systems, and serves as Global CAB Braze Team Leader.

Recently, he completed a term as president of the Industrial Heating Equipment Assn. and continues as director of the IHEA and member of its executive committee.
