FIA Chooses New Officers, Directors

MFC Group’s Jim Link is the association’s new president

May 18, 2006 -- At its recent annual meeting in Hilton Head, SC, the Forging Industry Assn. chose a new president and vice president to for the coming year, and elected four individuals to new three-year terms on its board of directors.

FIA is an association of 116 North American producers of forged metal components. It also includes 84 supplier firms that provide equipment, materials, services, and supplies to the forging industry.

The new president of FIA is Jim Link, v.p.-operations of MFC Group, Meadville, PA. Randy Schoenfeldt, CEO of Patriot Forge in Brantford, ON, is the FIA’s new vice president.

Elected to serve with Link and Schoenfeldt on the FIA executive committee were John Cain, president and CEO of Scot Forge Co., Spring Grove, IL, and Donald C. Larson, president of Charles E. Larson & Sons, Chicago.

New members of the FIA board of directors are Timothy M. Hunter, president and CEO of McInnes Rolled Rings, Erie, PA; Donald G. Jones, president of DeKalb Forge Co., DeKalb, IL; Willard T. Walker Jr., president and CEO of Walker Forge Inc., Racine, WI; and John D. Wilbur, president of Consolidated Industries Inc., Cheshire, CT.
